Join us on Saturday, September 26th for the first event in our new Park to Park series, a collaboration between McGolrick Park, Transmitter Park, St. Vartan Park, and Tompkins Square Park.
We’ll gather at 6 PM to kick off the evening with a community cleanup alongside our friends at Greenpoint Trash Club, helping care for the park we all share.
After the cleanup, we’ll come together for a special performance by Tammy Hsu inspired by the birds of McGolrick Park, filling the evening with song.
As night falls, NYC Parks Arborist John Kilcullen will lead us on a nighttime tree walk beneath the September Harvest Moon. John will share the stories, history, and wonders of McGolrick’s trees as we welcome the Fall Equinox and mark the changing of the season.
Come spend an evening gathering outside with your neighbors and seeing its trees in a whole new light.

Park to Park was created in 2026 with a mission to share successes and encourage and foster communication throughout the Steward network that cares for NYC Parks and green spaces. Our members include volunteers from Manhattan and Brooklyn: Friends of McGolrick Park, St. Vartan Park Conservancy, Transmitter Park, and Friends of Tompkins Square Park.
