10 am: Storytime and craft with local author Meghan Oliver and her new book, Carrie the Tree Fairy, about a young tree fairy whose creativity brings Fall to the world.
11 am: CityParks PuppetMobile, the country's oldest continually operating company of its kind, presents free performances and puppet-making workshops in neighborhood parks, recreation centers, and schools across New York City.
During the 2026 season, the PuppetMobile will present a fresh take on the classic fairy tale Pinocchio, written by Julia Darden and directed by Bruce Cannon, with set design by Zlata.
12 pm: Join Friends of McGolrick’s October cleanup! The winner will lead our epic Halloween Parade!
